King for a Day for Woodwind Quintet

“King for a Day” (c. 3′) is a whirlwind of a standalone movement from the larger dance suite named The Looking Glass. It was selected from among 700 entries to be performed at the 2022 International Composers Festival in Sussex, UK. This work was inspired by a poem by Dale Wimbrow called “The Guy in the Glass.” It’s about being true to yourself, something your audiences can all relate to. A great encore piece or short opener.
